artLIVE – To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, Vietnam Heritage Magazine, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Heritage Association and the Gen Zi San media group (FPT University), organized the Awards Ceremony of the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025 at the Ton Duc Thang Museum.

The event brought together professional organizations, photographers, and heritage enthusiasts, creating a vibrant cultural space rich in connection and meaning.
The Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2025 carried the message “Touch Heritage, Feel Your Identity,” encouraging photographers to explore the beauty of Vietnamese heritage through diverse perspectives and personal artistic expression. The competition received 1,034 works from 203 authors across the country.

The North left a strong impression with 105 authors and more than 571 works, including 57 participants from Hanoi alone. Alongside the capital, contributions from Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Lai Chau, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, and Thai Nguyen painted a vivid cultural and landscape tapestry of 12 provinces and cities.

Two Silver Prizes – Open Category
The Central region also stood out with nearly 30 authors and 167 works representing Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa, and Quang Tri, with Da Nang contributing 10 particularly notable entries. The Central Highlands enriched the Awards with the cultural imprint of Gia Lai and Dak Lak.
In the South, 71 authors submitted 296 works, reflecting the region’s dynamic creative spirit. Ho Chi Minh City remained the most prominent contributor, while An Giang, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, and Vinh Long added diverse perspectives capturing the beauty of Southern life and heritage.

The Awards brought together photographers of many generations from resilient creators nearing 75 years old to promising young talents as young as 16. Their submissions spanned a wide range of themes: tangible and intangible heritage, customs, community life, traditional festivals, natural landscapes, and regional identity.

From over 1,000 entries, the judging panel selected the most outstanding works for the final round, with 81 pieces showcased in the exhibition. More than 30 awards were presented across two categories, Gen Z and Open including one Gold Medal, two Silver Medals, three Bronze Medals, and ten Consolation Prizes.
